The Committee heard evidence from the Minister for Health and Social Services. 3.2
The Minister agreed to provide a note on the following: ·
The
perinatal mental health data and information collected by Local Health Boards and
the Welsh Government; ·
The
number of women who have been placed due to perinatal mental ill health on an
adult psychiatric ward without their child; ·
The
timescales within which all Local Health Boards will be expected to have signed
up to the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ quality standards; and ·
Further
information on the directory of third sector services and how it is updated. 3.3
The Minister committed to providing: ·
at
the end of the 2018-19 financial year, a comprehensive outline of the settings in
which women have been treated for perinatal mental ill health, including in the
community, adult psychiatric wards, and mother and baby units; and ·
six
monthly updates on progress in relation to the Committee’s recommendations and
other developments in perinatal mental health services in Wales. |

on which their joint written evidence was based. 6.3
The Committee agreed to write to the Minister for Health and Social Services to
follow-up the evidence heard during the session on perinatal mental health services
in Wales. |
