The Auditor General for Wales published a report on ‘Preparations in Wales for a ‘no-deal’ Brexit’ in February 2019.

The report reviews the arrangements being made by public bodies in Wales to manage the implications, risks and opportunities of Brexit.

In response to the publication of the Auditor General’s report, the Committee decided to take evidence from the Counsel General in his capacity as the Welsh Government’s Brexit Minister. The session took place on 11 March 2019.

Reporting

The Committee wrote (PDF, 197KB) to the Welsh Government to outline its views and recommendations on 26 March 2019.

The Welsh Government responded (PDF, 287KB) to the Committee’s letter on 23 April 2019.

On 27 September 2019 the Chair received correspondence from the Auditor General for Wales, providing an update to his ‘Preparations in Wales for a ‘no deal’ Brexit’ report.
