The External Affairs and Additional Legislation Committee organised a meeting with expert witnesses to hear about the key issues for equalities in Wales in the context of Brexit.
The meeting helped the Committee understand some of the key equalities issues raised by Brexit with a view to mainstreaming these considerations into its future work.
The Committee has considered some of these issues previously in its report Implications for Wales of leaving the European Union.
On Monday 26 February the Committee held a series of panel sessions on the impact of Brexit on equalities.
The Assembly’s Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee is conducting an inquiry into Human Rights in Wales that includes consideration of the impact of the UK’s withdrawal from European Union on human rights protection in Wales.
