Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016

A Government Bill, introduced by Lesley Griffiths AM, Minister for Communities and Tackling Poverty. The Business Committee remitted the Bill to the Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee.

 

About the Bill

 

The stated intentions of the Bill were to reform the legal basis for renting a home from a private landlord or community landlord, including local authorities and registered landlords.

 

Current Stage

 

The Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 became law in Wales (external website) on 18 January 2016.
