Purpose of the consultation
The
National Assembly for Wales’ new Economy,
Infrastructure and Skills Committee was established in June 2016.
Our
remit is to examine legislation and hold the Welsh Government to account by
scrutinising expenditure, administration and policy matters, encompassing (but
not restricted to): economic development; transport; infrastructure;
employment; skills; and research and development, including technology and
science.
More
detail on the wider roles and responsibilities of Assembly Committees is set
out in the report “Committees
in the Fifth Assembly” (PDF 235KB) laid before the Assembly on 23 June
2016.
Invitation to contribute
to the consultation
In
order to help inform its Forward Work Programme, the Committee is interested in
hearing your views on what the priorities of the Committee should be during the
Fifth Assembly.
On
no more than two sides of A4, please set out what you think should be priority
areas for the committee, including whether there is any work done by previous
committees of the Assembly that you think we should review or follow up. Please
see guidance
for those providing evidence for committees. The Committee welcomes
responses in Welsh or English from both individuals and organisations.
We
will be planning our work programme in Autumn 2016 so we are asking for all
suggestions to reach us by 1 September 2016.
Disclosure of information
The
Assembly’s policy
on disclosure of information is available, please ensure that you have
considered these details carefully before submitting information to the
