The Climate Change, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee would welcome your views on allotments.

Terms of reference:

Our predecessor committee published its report on allotment provision in Wales in 2010. Nine years on, we would like to revisit this work to see how much progress has been made and whether the Welsh Government’s approach to allotments and community growing is appropriate to meet the challenges of the future.  

As part of our ongoing Rethinking Food Inquiry, we would like your views on:

• The Welsh Government’s strategic approach;
• The approach taken by local authorities across Wales; and
• How we can maximise the health, community and environmental benefits of allotments and community growing.

Invitation to contribute to the inquiry

·         We ask that all contributions reach us before 1 March 2019.

Providing Written Evidence

The National Assembly for Wales has two official languages, Welsh and English.

In line with the Assembly’s Official Languages Scheme, the Committee requests that documents or written responses to consultations intended for publication or use in National Assembly proceedings are submitted bilingually. When documents or written responses are not submitted bilingually, we will publish in the language submitted, stating that it has been received in that language only.

We expect other organisations to implement their own standards or schemes and to comply with their statutory obligation.
