EVENT: Trade Unions for Safe Nuclear Energy Welsh Event 2018

Date: Tuesday 12 March 2019

Time: 18.00 - 20.00

Location: Conference Rooms C & D, Tŷ Hywel

Description: The nuclear industry provides quality jobs that are vital to communities across the UK, and in particular for Wales. The two Magnox power stations at Wylfa and Trawsfynydd have provided thousands of jobs for decades, from which a foundation for the future has been built. The prospect of a new power station at Wylfa will sustain thousands of jobs for communities and generations for many years to come. The Hinkley Point C project in Somerset alone currently provides over 1000 jobs for Welsh workers and opportunities for more than 25 Welsh businesses. At the event, sponsored by Vaughn Gething AM, Trade Unions for Safe Nuclear Energy (TUSNE) has invited trade union and industry representatives to speak about the value the nuclear industry brings to Wales and the economic potential of new projects

Open to the public: The event will take place outside our normal opening hours therefore attendance will be by invitation only
