EVENT: University of South Wales day school - Women and Activism - Past and Present.

Date: Thursday 8 March 2018

Time: 09.30 - 16.30

Location: Pierhead

Description: The event will focus on women’s activism, linking together past and present through a series of talks and round tables. The opening lecture, which we hope will be given by Professor Deirdre Beddoe, the pioneering historian who was the first Chair of the Women’s Archive, will provide a historical context. The afternoon events will bring together ‘witnesses’ of twentieth-century women’s activism and its most recent manifestation in the development of the ‘fourth wave’.

Open to the public: No
