1.1        The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.

1.2        Apologies were received from Joyce Watson. Mike Hedges attended as substitute.

1.3        Apologies were received from David Melding. Suzy Davies attended as substitute.

1.4        Huw Irranca-Davies declared an interest as he is Chair of the European Advisory Group. Mr Irranca-Davies agreed to absent himself from asking questions that related to this role.

Consideration of response to the correspondence from the First Minister to the Chair regarding the attendance of Ministers at Committee

6.1 Members agreed to respond to the First Minister to confirm their commitment to co-operation in order to ensure that Ministers are able to attend Committee when necessary.

·         Iceland-Norway trade continuity agreement

·         UK-Indonesia Voluntary Partnership Agreement on Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade in Timber Products

·         UK-Belarus Agreement concerning International Motor Vehicle Carriage

7.2 Members agreed to write to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to seek a clarification of his statement on responsibility for forestry policy within the UK.
