Legislation

4.1

Abolition of the Right to Buy and Associated Rights (Wales) Bill - Response from ELGC

Minutes:

Business Managers confirmed their in principle decision of 14 February to refer the Abolition of the Right to Buy and Associated Rights (Wales) Bill to the Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee for Stage 1 consideration, and agreed the deadline for the Stage 1 Committee to report by as 7 July 2017 and the deadline for the completion of Stage 2 Committee proceedings as 13 October 2017.

Supplementary Legislative Consent Memorandum for the Digital Economy Bill

Minutes:

Business Committee considered a paper from the government regarding a Supplementary Legislative Consent Memorandum (SLCM) in relation to the Digital Economy Bill.

 

Business Managers agreed to refer the SLCM to the Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee for scrutiny. The Business Committee also agreed that the Committee should report on the LCM by Monday 13 March to allow the Legislative Consent Motion to be debated in Plenary on Tuesday 14 March 2017.

5.1

Paper from PAC - Request for an additional meeting

Minutes:

Business Managers agreed a request from the Public Accounts Committee requesting an additional meeting on the morning of Tuesday 28 March 2017 to enable the Committee to scrutinise Natural Resources Wales (NRW) on their annual accounts 2015-16.

The Llywydd reminded Business Managers that Members who have requested to speak on items of business are expected to arrive before the beginning of that item if they wish to be called. It is the responsibility of Members to ensure that they are aware of business running ahead of time.
