This Week's Business Minutes: The First Minister would be making a statement on the
Programme for Government on Tuesday. Plaid Cymru would use their allocated time to hold two
30 minute debates on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Voting Time would be after the final item of
business. On Wednesday, Business Committee agreed that Voting Time would take
place before the Short Debate. |

Simon Thomas (Mid and West Wales) Paul Davies (Preseli Pembrokeshire) Llyr Gruffydd (North Wales) Neil Hamilton (Mid and West Wales) To propose that the
National Assembly for Wales: Calls on the Welsh
Government to take decisive action to tackle bovine TB by committing to use the
most effective measures to control and eradicate bovine TB and ensuring that
testing and movement restrictions are proportionate to the disease status of an

Lee Waters (Llanelli) Rhun ap Iorwerth (Ynys Môn) Huw Irranca-Davies (Ogmore) John Griffiths (Newport East) To propose that the
National Assembly for Wales: 1. Recognises the multiple
health and wellbeing benefits of physical activity. 2. Notes that only 35 per
cent of Welsh children are getting the recommended hour of physical activity
that they need every day. 3. Recognises the potential
of the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 to raise levels of physical activity
amongst all age groups. 4. Calls on the Welsh
Government to fully engage communities in identifying the new routes that would
link up local destinations and would be most likely to be well used |

Committees Minutes: Business Managers agreed to offer Nathan Gill
a place on the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee. UKIP had
offered to give up their place on the committee so that its size would remain
the same. Business Managers agreed to review the
Standing Orders on the definition of a group, especially in respect of a Member
leaving or being suspended from a group, and the relationship with Business
Committee. |

Any Other Business Timings for Spokespeople The Presiding Officer
informed Members of her intention to allow spokespeople only two minutes to
make their introductory remarks following a statement, before they come to questions.
The Chamber clock would not be set for each Member but the Presiding Officer
would intervene if a Member does not come to questions after two minutes. Aberfan The Presiding Officer
informed Business Managers of her intention to invite party leaders and Dawn
Bowden AM (Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney) to make a contribution at the start of
Plenary on October 19, along with a minute’s silence, to mark the 50th
anniversary of the Aberfan Disaster. Business Managers indicated that they were
content with the proposed arrangements. |
