Points of Order

Point of Order 1

Neil McEvoy raised a point of order regarding the possibility of returning to a usual agenda of business on the grounds that Plenary meetings are running as virtual sessions and no longer pose a threat to public health. The Deputy Presiding Officer stated that it has been Business Committee’s unanimous view that Plenary business should focus on hearing statements related to the public health emergency that we face, and for Members to question Ministers on those statements. However, the Deputy Presiding Officer stated that the Business Committee continue to review such decisions on a weekly basis.

Point of Order 2

Sian Gwenllian raised a point of order about the Health and Social Services Minister’s off-camera comments towards a fellow Member who had asked questions of him during his statement. The Deputy Presiding Officer stated that she would review the record and return to the matter.
