I support the bill as I feel its unfair that children don't have the same protection in the law as adults. However I feel that if the bill is introduced there needs to be more support for parents to help them not to break the new law e.g. Parenting courses. The reason I put partly is because I believe there has to be funding for places like social services to help support the parents.

Yes. I think the current legislation is ridiculous and vague. It gives parents an excuse when there should be none.

I think that maybe some parents might be penalised for what they've always done with no help on how to change their discipline style. I think that a lot of parents will still try to 'fight the system' and continue hitting their kids as they may still feel it is their right as a parent.

There needs to be more funding to be able to support parents to follow the new law. So funding for family support services and social services.

I think it should have been brought in a long time ago.
