About you

Individual

1      The Bill’s general principles

1.1     Do you support the principles of the Children (Abolition of Defence of Reasonable Punishment) (Wales) Bill?

— No

1.2     Please outline your reasons for your answer to question 1.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

I feel that Government has a duty to listen to the people and allow parents to 'be reasonable' with smacking.  I am Absolutely fed up with these 'DO GOODERS ' in our Assembly. What is the point of the Assembly if they fail to listen to the pubic?  Quite frankly the Assembly has been a failure in most aspects that I can see. Money wasted to a high degree and AM's unreachable, its a disgrace. Most powers devolved, so what is the point of the Assembly? If I have a dispute I am told by my local AM to go back to whom it is devolved to, talk about a rigged procedure.

Now we are told we cannot smack our children as we will have a police record, well as I have never worked for anyone (always my own businesses) this is irrelevant to me but could mean the end of employment for others.  I will continue to smack, should it be necessary and I urge others who are able to defy this stupid Bill to do the same,   There are other procedures in place in the Law today which are more than adequate to cover child abuse and so they should but you are not talking about abuse, you are penalising parents. Stop wasting my money and concentrate on removing the homeless and food banks, listen to us and do something useful.

1.3     Do you think there is a need for legislation to deliver what this Bill is trying to achieve?

3      Unintended consequences

3.1     Do you think there are there any unintended consequences arising from the Bill? If no, go to question 4.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

YES as above plus children become the parents by dictating to them because there is no redress of any note just: sit in the naughty chair, corner etc. BIG DEAL

4      Financial implications

4.1     Do you have any comments on the financial implications of the Bill (as set out in Part 2 of the Explanatory Memorandum)? If no, go to question 5.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

Yes it will cost us money, policing this plus fines, etc. we pay enough Council Tax as it is plus the Councils gather more and more fines as it gets worse.

5      Other considerations

5.1     Do you have any other points you wish to raise about this Bill?

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

YES. for goodness sake live in the real world where single mothers/dads have to be both parents, have to work have to cook clean etc., etc., without any help.
