I believe this bill would interfere with family life, parents discipline their children because they love them, sometimes this may need a moderate smack to make it clear to the child of what they are doing being wrong or even dangerous to themselves. The government has no right to tell parents not to lovingly discipline their children. The government also seem out of touch with the general public on this issue, the majority of families do not want this. True child abuse is already illegal and law enforcement energies should be targeted towards this not chasing up ridiculous accusations of abuse through a mild smack.

Yes, I believe good, loving parents will end up in trouble with the law, I also believe a lot of tax payers money will be wasted in police and social workers investigating loving discipline instead of true crime.
I also believe that in a time when our country needs greater child discipline in family life and school life, we are going the opposite way. Little wonder that there is a decreasing lack of respect for authority and law amongst the young!

Yes, I believe the whole thing is a waste of tax payers money.
